Mama Africa Arise & Unite Main Event Showcase for November 24, 2018

November 2, 2018. Portland, Jamaica, W.I. The fourth and final staging of Mama Africa Arise and Unite 2018 is set to take place on the 24th of November 2018 (New Date) at Di Atlantic Entertainment Center in Manchioneal, Portland. Its focus will be on school/community development and empowerment of the people, youth and girls especially.

In the theme of “One Perfect Love” this culminative event will commence with gates opening at 10:00 a.m. Presentations by sponsors and beneficiaries will precede the opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place between 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. It will feature addresses from Mayor and Councillor Paul Thompson, Chairman Portland Municipal Cooperation; Amina Blackwood-Meeks, Cultural Historian; Kesha Brown, President Kiwanis Eastern St. Andrew; Sharon Parris-Chambers, Deputy Coordinator, Caribbean RIC of the Pan African Federalist Movement, as well as, other speakers, sponsors and beneficiaries.

A Press Conference ensues 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.  Additionally, workshops will be facilitated to cultivate a spirit of liberation and African unity within patrons. The previous three staging of this initiative have built momentum for community support of this final showcase, which promises to be nothing short of inspirational.

Select cultural and indigenous entertainers will captivate the audience in the presence of: Amina Blackwood-Meeks, Joan Flemmings, Natty King, Nicky Silk, Prophecy and Reggae Life Band, Nugas, Little John, Literal, D Voice, Spotless, Manchioneal Cultural Group, Charles Town Maroons Drums & Dancers, World Band and many more. Music by Tender Touch and Delta Supreme, Legacy & Studio Extension.

Mama Africa Arise and Unite was founded by Empress Elissa Issachar, Managing Director of D.A.E.C, Spokesperson and musician from the Abrahamic Covenant Family Ministry. Issachar proudly shared the latest development updates as follows: “The movement has introduced their agendas to schools in the parish and has undertaken several community & school development projects, such as: The Manchioneal Fisherfolks Benevolent Society first Bathroom infrastructure, Manchioneal Community Center Renovation to aid Manchioneal Football Association and Manchioneal Police Youth Club. The Restoration of Bobo Shanti Tabernacle in Johnson Mountain, St. Thomas. Trophies for Bath Community Center Football Association upcoming League. Some of the School Projects are fencing for Johnson Mountain Primary School; lighting for Johnson Mountain Infant School; musical instruments for Boundbrook Infant School and Fair Prospect High in Portland.”

Part proceed of event will go towards the Pan African Federalist Movement (PAFM), National Initiating Commission (NIC) with the mission of Uniting African States (UAS) within less than a generation. It is led by an International Initiating Provisional Committee (IPIC) comprised of Federalists based in Dakar, Senegal. The Call for a New Pan African Federalist Congress made in 2015 has manifested and the Pre-Congress planning will be executed December 8-13, 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
